RCB has further strengthened its commitment to developing the local motorsports community and nurturing riding talent through the successful organisation of its inaugural RCB Track Day, which brought together 80 participants aged between 9 and 40 years old from various backgrounds and levels of riding experience.
The programme provided participants with the opportunity to experience riding on a racetrack in a safe and controlled environment, while enhancing their skills through a range of activities organised throughout the event.
In addition to the track day sessions, participants attended a basic circuit riding workshop conducted by former national racer Ibrahim Norrodin. The session introduced first-time track riders to fundamental riding techniques, motorcycle control, and essential safety practices on the circuit.
The event was further enlivened by the presence of Malaysia’s professional riders Kasma Daniel and Nazirul Izzat, who shared their experiences and career journeys in motorcycle racing ahead of their participation in the upcoming Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) round in Japan this weekend.
According to Marcus Leong, General Manager of Brand at RCB, the organisation of RCB Track Day forms part of the company’s ongoing efforts to support the motorcycle community while promoting a safer and more professional riding culture.
“RCB Track Day was organised as a platform for motorcycle enthusiasts to improve their riding skills on the track in a safe and professional environment. The response has been overwhelmingly encouraging and demonstrates that the riding community is eager for programmes that provide meaningful value and opportunities for development,” he said.
Participant feedback was also highly positive, with many expressing their hope that the programme would continue through the organisation of three to four series annually. RCB will explore the possibility of establishing Track Day as a regular programme to further support the development of the local motorsports community and help cultivate more skilled and disciplined riders.
