Sepang | 16 Februari 2026 – ZK Racing, the official organiser of the nation’s grassroots rider development championship, today announced the rebranding of the RCB MiniMoto Championship to the RCB MotoKidz Championship, effective immediately.
RCB, as the title sponsor, remains fully committed to supporting the strategic and continuous development of the championship, while maintaining its strong support in nurturing young rider talent since 2025.
The RCB MotoKidz Championship will continue into its second year with five rounds, serving as a support class to the FIM MotoMini Malaysia race series, which is scheduled to open its season on May 2026 The championship has continued to receive highly encouraging support from the local motorsport community.
The change in name and logo was implemented to align the use of the term “Moto” across the overall two-wheel motorsport development structure. This move is consistent with the branding of other national and international championships such as MotoMini (formerly known as MiniGP), the Moto4 Asia Cup (formerly Asia Talent Cup), Moto3 Junior, as well as world championships including Moto3, Moto2 and MotoGP.
This new branding further strengthens a more structured and progressive rider development pathway, beginning from the children’s level through to the world championship stage. In line with its new identity, the RCB MotoKidz Championship focuses on engaging children as young as 6 to 9 years old, providing a foundational platform to discover and develop new talent before progressing to the next level, MotoMini. The championship serves as a vital foundation within the national two-wheel motorsport talent development ecosystem.
According to ZK Racing, the rebranding represents more than just a name change, but reflects a long-term vision to establish a clearer, more consistent, and internationally competitive development structure.
With its new identity as the RCB MotoKidz Championship, ZK Racing is confident that the championship will continue to serve as an important platform in nurturing the next generation of young riders with the potential to progress further into professional motorsport.
